Read our interview with Darren Kerr of TSC Printronix Auto ID as we spotlight employees that have a positive impact on our products, services, and customers.
How long have you worked for TSC Printronix Auto ID?
DK: I have been at TSC Printronix Auto ID for a little over three years. I have more than 23 years of experience working in the AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture), mobile and industrial printer industry, and formerly served as the Strategic Account Manager in the Printer Division for one of the largest organizations in the market.
What is your role with the company?
DK: I am the National Accounts Manager for the Western United States. My primary role is to manage current accounts and grow the territory by developing relationships within our partner network as well as creating new major account business. I also support our sales managers to build relationships with our partners to help them gain more barcode printer sales.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
DK: I enjoy the competitive nature of my job. I’m a competitive person, so winning with my team and generating business for the company is gratifying. It’s been great to work for a company like TSC Printronix Auto ID where we offer complete printer and media solutions all in one place – from mobile to industrial and desktop barcode printers to consumables to innovative technologies like online barcode verification and RFID. Because of this, we are able to develop strong, longstanding relationships with our customers. I have to say the ultimate reward is to be a solution provider for customers, someone they can rely on to get the job done for them.
What do you like best about working for TSC Printronix Auto ID?
DK: My coworkers. I feel very blessed to be a part of the Inside Sales team and work alongside amazing colleagues likes Dana Barberis. She and everyone at TSC Printronix Auto ID really care for one another and work together to ensure customer success.
What is something people do not know about you?
DK: I like gardening. I also enjoy working out at the gym and riding my dirt bike. I started riding a dirt bike when I was three years old and it is something I still enjoy doing today.
