Printronix Auto ID’s T6000e RFID printer has been selected as a finalist for RFID Journal’s prestigious Top 10 Best New Products of 2020.  RFID Journal is the leading publication for RFID technologies providing information on the latest RFID innovations, standards, case studies, and other RFID news. RFID Journal was founded and led by the iconic Mark Roberti for almost 20 years where he has worked tirelessly to promote the use and understanding of RFID technologies.

Printronix Auto ID is an active member of both AIM and the RAIN RFID Alliance. We actively participate in AIM’s RFID Experts Group (REG) and RAIN’s Aviation and Healthcare workgroups.

RFID Journal will be presenting their awards at the upcoming RFID Journal LIVE! event to be held in Orlando, FL, on September 9-11, 2020.  The awards cover eight categories, including a Best New Product category. Only 10 products are selected as finalists in this category and Printronix Auto ID takes great pride in knowing the T6000e RFID printer made the exclusive list. RFID Journal has hosted a series of webinars showcasing the finalists for the award. Our presentation on the T6000e can be viewed here.

Why is the T6000e a Best New Product?

  1. Prints Both Smart Labels and On-Metal Tags

The T6000e stands out as a single printer that can seamlessly work with both standard smart labels and on-metal tags. There is no special hardware involved, no special part number, no special software, no additional parts to order or bolt on – both media types can be printed by the same RFID printer.

The T6000e printer can work with a wide variety of on-metal tags, not just specific designs from manufacturers. To see some of the on-metal tags that have been tested with the T6000e, please visit our RFID Solutions page and take a look at the Tested RFID Tags.

  1. Easy to Use

With its unique antenna construction, the T6000e was designed from the ground up to work right out of the box. Users can easily switch from one media type to the other simply by changing the label rolls and selecting the proper media from the printer’s front panel.

“Besides being happy with the fact that users can work with both standard smart labels and on-metal tags using a single printer, we are very proud of the ease and simplicity of the user-experience, ” said Chris Brown, Printronix Auto ID RFID Subject Matter Expert. “Just load the different media, select the media type from the front panel, and print and encode. A simpler user experience is key to wider adoption of RFID.”

  1. Feature Rich – Multiple Configurations, Printronix System Architecture, Auto- Calibration

Multiple configurations and options are available for the T6000e, including 203, 300 and 600 dpi resolutions, 4-inch and 6-inch print widths and traditional options such as a cutter, peeler, and rewinder.

The T6000e is a member of Printronix Auto ID’s RFID printer family. Other models include the mid-duty industrial model, the T4000 Entry-Level Industrial Printer, which was also designed to work with both standard smart labels and on-metal tags, and the T800 Enterprise-Level Desktop Printer.

All Printronix Auto ID RFID printers are based on our exclusive Printronix System Architecture (PSA), which allows for plug-and-play compatibility in multiple environments and support for remote printer management. The printers also support our industry-leading RFID Auto Calibration feature and advanced RFID functionalities such as support for high-memory chips.

Printronix Auto ID RFID Printer and Label Validation Lab

Due to the complex nature of RFID tags, you might be concerned about compatibility between your label and printer. Rest assured, Printronix Auto ID can work with you to test compatibility with your specific label application in our RFID Label and Verification Lab. The lab tests RFID labels and inlays from most major RFID manufacturers for compatibility. We also work with individual customers to guarantee compatibility and quality assurance on their specific label.
